Free & Reduced Meal Application

Under the federally funded National School Breakfast and Lunch program, free and reduced price meals are available to all families that qualify for the program. Applications for Free & Reduced Price Meals are sent home with all students during the first week of school.  Families that believe they are eligible should complete one application per family and return it to the school cafeteria.  The application must be filled out in its entirety in order for it to be processed. Applications for income must be completed each school year.  If an application is needed any time during the school year, it may be obtained from the office in your school building or downloaded from the bottom of this webpage.

Transferring students must reapply for the new school district, the status does not transfer from the old district.

During the first thirty days of school, those students who were eligible for Free & Reduced Price Meals the prior year in the Hempfield Area School District will be given breakfast or lunch at the free or reduced price while a NEW application is being processed.

New applicants will not receive free or reduced price meals until their applications have been processed and approved.
