Superintendent of Schools

Dr. Tammy Wolicki joined the Hempfield Area School District in 1992 as an elementary teacher.  She was an Assistant Principal at Wendover Middle School and Principal of Stanwood and East Hempfield Elementary schools.  In 2005, she joined the Greensburg Salem School District as a Middle School Principal and Director of Curriculum for grades K-12.  Prior to returning to the Hempfield Area School District in 2014 as the Assistant Superintendent for Elementary,  Dr. Wolicki served as the Director of Elementary Education for the Fox Chapel Area School District.   

She received her Bachelor of Science Degree in Elementary and Early Childhood Education and Master’s Degree as a Reading Specialist from California University of Pennsylvania.  She earned her K-12 Principal Certification,  Doctorate in Administration and Leadership Studies, and Superintendent's Letter of Eligibility from Indiana University of Pennsylvania.   

Dr. Wolicki resides with her husband, John, a graduate and retiree of the Hempfield Area School District.  Her daughter, Lauren (Edwards) Brown, and step-son, Zachary Wolicki, are both graduates of the district.  She enjoys spending time with her family and grandchildren Hunter, Kennedy, Reagan, and Reed.
