Under the supervision of the principal and Supervisor of Pupil Services, provides health services and promotes the health, welfare, and safety to the students and employees following policies and procedures per the Hempfield Area School District , the Pennsylvania State Nursing Board, the Pennsylvania Department of Education and the school physician.

Per HAEA Agreement

Minimum Qualifications: 

PA School Nursing Certification 
Active PA registered nurse license 
Completion and certification of an accredited First aid and Health Care Provider and CPR/AED training 
Working knowledge of nursing skills with graduation from a registered nurse degree program, allowing a continuance to pursue certified school nurse certificate 
Effective interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate in a professional manner with students, staff, parents, and other professionals involved in the care of the patient
