Synergy
Beginning with the upcoming school year, Hempfield Area School District will transition from Skyward SMS 2.0 to the Synergy Student Information System (SIS) by Edupoint. This change is being made because Skyward SMS 2.0 is no longer supported by the vendor, making it necessary for the district to move to a modern, actively developed platform that will better serve students, families, teachers, and staff.
Why the Change?
Technology plays a critical role in managing student information, communication, attendance, grading, scheduling, and reporting. As software platforms evolve, vendors periodically retire older systems. With the discontinuation of support for Skyward SMS 2.0, the district evaluated available solutions and selected Synergy, a comprehensive student information platform used by school districts across the country.
What is Synergy?
Synergy is a modern, web-based Student Information System designed specifically for K-12 education. The platform centralizes student data and provides integrated tools for administrators, teachers, students, and parents through a single system. Synergy is built on a unified database, allowing information to be updated in real time and shared seamlessly across all connected modules.

The Synergy platform includes ParentVUE, a secure portal that gives parents and guardians convenient access to important student information, including:
