Free & Reduced Meal Application

During the 2023-2024 School Year, Hempfield Area School District will provide free breakfasts for all enrolled students. Additionally, students identified as eligible for reduced-price lunches through the National School Lunch Program (NSLP) will not be
charged for their meals.

Under the federally funded National School Breakfast and Lunch program, free and reduced price meals are available to all families that qualify for the program.  Families that believe they are eligible should complete one application per family.  The application must be filled out in its entirety in order for it to be processed. Applications for income must be completed each school year.  If an application is needed any time during the school year, it may be obtained from the office in your school building, downloaded from the bottom of this webpage, or available to apply online.

Transferring students must reapply for the new school district, the status does not transfer from the old district.

During the first thirty days of school, those students who were eligible for Free & Reduced Price Meals the prior year in the Hempfield Area School District will be given breakfast or lunch at the free or reduced price while a NEW application is being processed.

New applicants will not receive free or reduced price meals until their applications have been processed and approved.

If you received an email stating your family was Directly Certified you do not have to submit a paper application or online application.
